The experience I am going to tell you about is that I waited for the sunrise on the sea in Xiamen, a coastal metropolis located in the southeast corner of China. I paid a visit there last summer vacation on the invitation of my roommate. Learning that I had never seen the sunrise on the sea, he strongly recommended me to give it a go, saying that I would regret for the rest of my life if I missed the marvelous scenery.

I checked the exact time of sunrise on the next day on my phone and found it was a quarter past five. I managed to arrive at the beach at four twenty in the morning and started the waiting.

Everything was shrouded under the darkness and the sparse lights of the city were miles away. The only sound I could hear came from the waves constantly patting the beach, stirring layers of spoondrift. Although it was the summer, the temperature on the shore in the morning was pretty low. This article is from website. I could not help shivering in the cold wind.

Then the sunrise began. The bright streaks of red, pink and orange slowly overcame the dark blue and purple of the sky in the east. The sky resembled a prism, blending all the colors perfectly into each other. Although the sun was still below the horizon, its brilliant rays already shined brightly and began to warm the air and dye the water, and golden petals stretched ever outwards into the rich blue. Finally, it jumped out the surface just like a fireball. Born and upbrought in an inland city, I had never seen anything like this. It was totally worth the long wait.
